Gym Bag Starter Kit
What better way to kick off the new year than by starting your fitness journey!!? So let's start building your gym bag as well! While all of these pieces of equipment are beneficial, none of them are absolutely necessary (unless you're working out at home, then they are more necessary)
-Starting off with a sturdy barbell pad! We've got glute gains to catch this year ladies!! Hip thrusts and glute bridges will be your best friends but we need to protect those hips! Invest in a quality barbell pad that will last years! Linking a high quality and reasonably priced one here from Amazon!
-Next on the list, resistance bands!! Especially if you are working out from home! These are great to mimic cable movements that you would be able to do in a gym setting! I highly recommend a set with handles, a set of long looped resistance band for pull up/chin up/mobility work and a set of smaller bands for glute warm ups and isolation movements!
-Moving on to wrist straps and wrist wraps! Wrist straps come in when our grip strength is not as strong as our muscles (a totally normal thing to happen!) when we can move the weight strength wise but just can't keep our grip on the dumbbells or barbell! Linking both wrist straps and grips! Wrist wraps are great for keeping the wrist joints warm and stable!
-And of course we want to track our workouts to make sure we're making serious progress! It can be as simple as keeping a workout notebook OR sign up with our team and use our app to take out the guess work 😉
While there is so much more equipment out there, I think this is a great starting place!! And remember that not every piece of equipment will make you and your goals so choose what YOU will benefit from the most!
