Consistency does NOT = Perfection
I'm sure you've heard "In two weeks you'll feel it. In four weeks, you'll see it. In eight weeks, you'll hear it." But what exactly does that mean? And what does it take to get there?
We all know that consistency is key. It's what you do MOST of the time that matters. Perfection is not required to see results, but you do have to determine what consistency means to you and make sure it's realistic for you lifestyle.
Here is a perfect example of what consistency might look like as it relates to nutrition:
Notice how there are "fun foods" throughout the week (a muffin on Tuesday, a burger and glass of wine on Friday, a cookie and a piece of pizza on Saturday, and a muffin on Sunday) and they are not just stacked on the weekends? When you establish realistic and consistent habits, life becomes a whole lot more fun.
It's also important to remember that every single day you show up and prioritize your goals is a VERY small deposit into your future self. You may not notice a difference right away, you may not even notice a difference after a couple of weeks, but if you stay the course - you WILL feel it, see it, and hear it.
